Works with our clients to find the right architectural firm for the project.

Assists in finding the best general contractor to perform the type of work involved.

Evaluates pricing estimates provided by the general contractor and works to value-engineer the project with the architect and contractor to stay within the owner's budget specifications.

Oversees the construction/renovation efforts with daily walk-throughs of the project and weekly team meetings with the contractor and architect.

Provides any and all other development services required by the owner.


We believe in stressing the three basics of leasing and marketing - People, Product and Price. We require a customer service attitude from our leasing staff. Our on-site personnel are trained by recognized leaders in the industry to assist future residents in finding the right home for them. Resident retention programs receive as much focus as generating new leases.

The campaign is then effectively implemented by coordinating the appropriate use of brochures, signage, advertising media and the Internet, with the marketing strategy on a cost basis significantly lower than that incurred in connection with the use of outside, independent agencies. Our in-house staff makes it possible for API to instantly respond to any marketing or advertising need that may develop.

Thomas (Tom) E. Aderhold , has been intimately involved in the Atlanta real estate and development markets for over 40 years. He is also a licensed real estate broker, has a CAPS designation with the National Apartment Association and has served as President of both Atlanta and Georgia Apartment Associations.

Derek Aynsley

President of Aderhold Properties

Derek Aynsley, has been involved with the Investments and Business Development, for 40 years of acumen in all facets of real estate. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, is a graduate of the Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and has served as a Director of Trustee of the boards of a number of companies and civic organizations.

Josh Wypasek

Regional Manager of Aderhold Properties

Josh Wypasek is a Georgia native who has worked in property management for 12 years. He is a graduate of Mercer University Stetson School of Business and Economics in Macon where an internship lead to a part time leasing position which ultimately turned into a full time property manager position. Josh assisted with the purchase and sale of Broadway Lofts, Katherine Court, and Terrace Apartments to Aderhold Properties in 2013 when he officially came on board with API. Since joining API, he proudly served as President of the Middle GA Apartment Association and remains an active member of the MGAA Board of Directors. Josh became Regional Manager for API in January 2019.

Larry Loyed

Chief Financial Officer

Larry Loyed brings over 35 years of financial and management reporting experience. Our management team has been with API for greater than 15 years on average, a testament to the overall style and stability of management and expertise available. He is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and has severed on the IMA Global Board of Directors for three years, holds the designation of Certified Management Accountant and is a Past President of both a local chapter and the Gulf South Council of the IMA.
